A former Indiana County District Attorney will make a second run for the vacancy on the County’s board of judges.
Pat Dougherty announced his candidacy on Indiana in the Morning on WCCS earlier today. Dougherty said that he believes his more than 20 years of experience in law in Indiana County makes him an ideal candidate.
Dougherty was a two-term district attorney, and worked in the district attorney’s office for a total of 18 years. For the last two years, he has been working in his private practice. He ran for a vacancy on the Court of Common Pleas in 2017, losing to current Judge Mike Clark, but he said that he and Clark collaborated on a project that has seen success in Indiana County.
Also running for the Court of Common Pleas seat is current District Judge Christopher Welch and first assistant district attorney Gina Ryen Force.
