State Representative Jim Struzzi and State Senator Joe Pittman were among 75 members of the Pennsylvania legislature who on Friday signed a letter asking Congress to reject PA’s electors in the 2020 Presidential election. Representative Chris Dush, whose 66th District includes a substantial portion of Indiana County, also signed.
The focus of the letter is on alleged multiple violations of the Commonwealth Election Law by Governor Tom Wolf and Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar. The lawmakers say “Wolf and others quickly set about undermining the many protections provided under this law” after it was enacted last November.
Wolf has already certified the election of president-elect Joe Biden, who on the strength of the expanded mail-in balloting provided by last year’s law defeated President Trump by 81.000 votes.
“For these reasons,” they wrote to the state’s congressional delegation, “We the undersigned members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly urge you to object … to the Electoral College votes received from the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.”
