The Indiana County Chamber of Commerce announced today that they were named the 2020 Chamber of the Year by the Pennsylvania Association of Chamber Professionals.
The award recognizes the Chamber’s excellence and focuses on significant achievements or accomplishments that they have initiated, stimulated or led in the area over the last 18 months. Some of the programs that were highlighted by the award were the Chamber’s Indiana County Ready program for high school students, the news conference concerning the county’s stance against the Regional Greenhouse Gas Initiative, along with their expanded presence on social media, which also provided a new forum for businesses to be highlighted during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mark Hilliard, Chamber President, said the award recognizes the team effort in place at the Chamber.
The award was presented during the Chamber’s annual meeting earlier today
