A Commodore woman was seriously injured in a crash Tuesday night on Airport Road in White Township.
It happened shortly after 9:30 PM near Geesey Road. State police say 19-year-old Payton Balogh suffered severe burn injuries when her vehicle left the road, struck an airport-related cement light stanchion, and caught on fire. She was trapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by Indiana firefighters.
Balogh was taken to the Indiana Regional Medical Center by Citizens Ambulance Service, then flown to the burn unit at West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
