At the WPIAL AAA semifinals yesterday at Champion Lakes Golf Course, Indiana’s boys golfers finished 5th, shooting a combined 437. The top three teams, Central Catholic, Franklin Regional, and Peters Township, qualified for the championship. In the other semi in Freeport, Shady Side Academy, Fox Chapel, and Norwin qualified for the final.
The Indiana boys were led by Alex Holuta, who shot an 82. Trevor Todd was one shot back at 83, followed by Danny Williams (85), Zach Eisenhower (86), and Jack Fischer (101). Freshman Harrison Martineau was suffering from a bad back and shot 108.
Indiana finished the season at 11-3 overall and 9-3 in their section, tying Norwin and Penn Trafford for co-section champs. They’ll have a good group coming back next year, too. Eisenhower, Williams, and Fischer are seniors; Holuta is a junior; Adam Cowburn is a sophomore, and Todd and Martineau are freshmen.

Indiana’s soccer team lost to Hampton yesterday, 1-0.
The Indiana girls tennis teams lost to Mount Pleasant, 5-0 in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs yesterday.
