For the 20th consecutive year, IUP has been selected by the Princeton Review for their “Best Colleges” guidebook.
Less than 15 percent of the 2,500 four-year colleges in the United States were chosen for the annual guidebook, which bases its selection on surveys and interviews with students. Schools are ranked by academics, admissions selectivity and financial aid among other categories.
One of the categories that students have the opportunity to rank is “health services” and in the Princeton Review guidebook, IUP’s health services department ranked in the top 20. The school is in good company with the Air Force Academy, Kansas State, University of Miami, Florida State, and others in the top 20. Other areas of the university that ranked high among students included the educational opportunities, opportunities to get involved in on-campus life, and the variety of majors offered.
IUP has been consistently included in other publications. Recently, they were ranked by College Magazine in their top 10 best colleges and universities in Pennsylvania list, and they were also honored by U.S. News and World Report on its Best Colleges list, and by Forbes Magazine as one of America’s Top Colleges.
