While the COVID-19 pandemic has restricted how people go about their summer activities, Yellow Creek State Park remains open for families to enjoy the summer weather while also maintaining certain health guidelines.
In an interview on Indiana in the Morning with Josh Widdowson, Lisa Meadows of Yellow Creek said the park has not only remained open during the pandemic, but its also witnessed a significant growth in visitation from families.
Meadows also mentioned that the beach portion of the park is open, as well as the new bathhouse, and all are cleaned and sanitized throughout the day to maintain health regulations.
In addition, she mentioned how visitors can do their part when visiting the park.
In the coming weeks, Yellow Creek will host different environmental programs that focus on the History of Conservation, which will occur on July 18 and will be taught by Joe Hildebrand of the Pennsylvania State Game Commission, and the continuation of the Wildlife for Kids program, which is scheduled for July 12.
Information on upcoming events can be found on the state park’s Facebook page, or by Googling the Yellow Creek State Park.
