Members of the Indiana Fire Association were busy last night with two vehicle crash calls, one in White Township and one in Indiana Borough.
The crash in White Township was on Wayne Avenue South near the transition point to Route 119. Several cars had slowed down for a deer in the road, but one vehicle did not slow down and rear-ended a pickup truck. Ron Moreau of the Indiana Fire Association reported that one person was taken to the hospital with a possible leg injury. State police and citizen’s ambulance assisted on the scene.
The other crash was reported at the intersection of 9th and Water Streets in Indiana Borough as a car went off the road and into the porch area at 908 Water Street. Moreau said that the fire department was called in make sure that the building was still structurally sound, which it was after the incident. There were no reported injuries. Indiana borough police were also on-scene.
