A Punxsutawney man is in the Indiana County Jail after an incident early last Sunday morning in Canoe Township.
State police say 34-year-old Patrick Covert followed a man and woman from the American Legion in Rossiter, subsequently passing them and turning his vehicle to block them. Police accuse Covert of exiting his vehicle and advancing on the victims’ vehicle pointing a pistol at them, then striking the driver’s side window multiple times as they attempted to get by him. He then followed them to their friend’s house.
Police were able to track him down and arrest him, charging him with terroristic threats and related offenses as recommended by the district attorney’s office. He was ordered held at the county jail with bond set at $100,000 straight cash.
