UPDATE: State police have released more information on the discovery of a missing man who was found dead this morning in Center Township.
Police say that 32-year-old Christopher Anderson of Homer City was found by a search party around 10:30 this morning near the intersection of Old Route 119 South and Lucerne Road. State police were assisted in the search by Homer City, Coral-Graceton fire departments and the Indiana County Emergency Management Agency. The Indiana County Coroner’s Office is assisting with the investigation into Anderson’s Death, but the cause and manner of death have yet to be determined. An autopsy has been scheduled for November 14th.
Anderson was reported missing to State Police on Monday. He was last seen Saturday night around 8:15 when he left the house and started walking towards the Hoodlebug trail.
As the investigation is still on-going, state police are asking anyone with information to call them at 724-357-1960.

A man who was missing since last Saturday was found dead today in Center Township.
According to scanner reports and verified by a searcher on-scene, the body of 32-year-old Christopher Anderson was found near the Savoy Club on Old Route 119. Anderson had been missing since last Saturday night, when he left his home in the 200 block of Main Street and headed towards the Hoodlebug Trail. A search party was formed this morning consisting of Homer City and Coral-Graceton Firefighters, members of the State Police and Indiana County Emergency Management Agency.
There’s no word yet on any of the circumstances surrounding Anderson’s death. We’re awaiting a news release from investigators for further details.
