State police have issued a number of reports Saturday morning, including a lost gun, criminal mischief incidents, and crashes.
A 49-year-old Burrell Township man reported to state police that he lost his handgun in the parking lot between the Blairsville Walmart and the Verizon store there. It occurred at 11 o’clock Friday morning. Police do not say whether or not the handgun was stolen. anyone with information is asked to call police.
State police report also that an unknown suspect or suspects spray-painted multiple buildings at Marion Center Supply in Marion Center Borough. It happened in the overnight hours Friday, November 2nd into Saturday morning, November 3rd.
State police conducted a traffic stop on Palmerton Road in Burrell Township on October 30th, just after 4:30 PM. The driver of that vehicle, an unnamed 39-year-old man from Sagamore Hills, Ohio, was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia and subsequently charged.
An incident of criminal mischief occurred along Camerons Road in Homer City. An unknown suspect smashed out the back window of a Volkswagen Jetta owned by 40-year-old James Ryan Smith, sometime between 9:30 Thursday night and 7:30 Friday morning. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
State police report no injuries in a crash that occurred on Route 422 at the intersection with Anthony Run Road. It occurred at 12:30 in the afternoon on November 6th when a vehicle driven by 40-year-old Denise Szalma of Cranberry Township rear-ended a vehicle operated by a 41-year-old Marion Center man as he was stopped and waiting to turn left onto Anthony Run. Szalma was charged for following too closely.
And, a 19-year-old West Lebanon man was charged for careless driving after he lost control of his vehicle as he traveled east on Parkwood Road Friday. At 1:43 PM, he was traveling on a left curve approaching Hickory Road, when he crossed the center double line and then struck an embankment, causing his vehicle to roll over back onto all four wheels.
