Indiana Borough police have issued a number of reports Saturday morning.
Police report they found a man wanted in Westmoreland County staggering in the 400 block of Nixon Avenue this morning just after 1:30. 35-year-old Michael J. Mitchell, Jr. of Indiana was arrested for public drunkenness and found to be wanted in Westmoreland County for failure to appear. After he was cited, he was transferred to State police in Greensburg for incarceration in the Westmoreland County Jail.
Shortly after 3 o’clock this morning, borough police responded to a location in the 300 block of Philadelphia Street for a report of a man fighting with store employees and security. Police discovered 23-year-old Elijah Konner Cathers of Waynesburg and placed him under arrest for disorderly conduct and public drunkenness. He was later released to a sober adult.
Borough police have released a report on an incident of indecent exposure on August 4th. On that date, around 8 PM, 57-year-old John Shedlock of Indiana exposed his genitals to patrons sitting outside of a restaurant in the 600 block of Philadelphia Street. An investigation has led to the filing of a criminal complaint charging Shedlock with a misdemeanor offense of Indecent Exposure through Judge Haberl’s office.
Borough police have issued a report stating that shortly before 7 PM on July 18th, they went to an address in the 700 block of Philadelphia Street in an attempt to locate a wanted male. The man was located, though 31-year-old Ida Hollibaugh of Indiana had assisted him in attempting to allude police. Hollibaugh is charged with the misdemeanor offense of Hindering Apprehension or Prosecution.
