Tonight will be the start of a series of committee meetings for the Indiana School Board that will take place at the four elementary schools in the district.
The reason for holding the meetings at the elementary schools is to have the public take a close look at the school’s conditions. This is being done in the wake of a feasibility study being done by Architect Innovations. The study results is expected to be released in January and February of next year.
Tonight’s Academic and Extra Curricular Committee meeting will take place in the Ben Franklin Library. After the hour-long meeting, there will be a tour of Ben Franklin Elementary.
The next committee meeting to take place off site will be November 19th at Horace Mann. That will be for the Buildings, Grounds and Transportation Committee in the school library. The regularly scheduled board meeting will still take place at the East Pike Boardroom.
The final two meetings will be on the first two Mondays of December. On December 3rd, Academic and Extra Curricular will have another committee meeting, but it will be at East Pike Elementary’s Library. And on December 10th, Eisenhower will host the Policy and Personnel Committee meeting in Room 11.
All the committee meetings will start at 6:00 PM.
